I reviewed the Amazon Fire and Fire HD User Guide. Kudos to the author for acknowledging that there might be minor errors and he requests that readers sent him a note to that effect. I have owned most of the Fire Tablets. They have greatly improved over time. I was pleased to learn areas that were unclear and unknown to me. For example, I did not know about the USB Data Transfer, Clipping Articles, functionality of Alexa and resetting the tablet to factory settings. I was leery of factory settings that I would loose a lot of data.The book is well written and the screen shots are extremely helpful. This is definitely a book that I would recommend.

This book like others I have read from the Author presents the how to use areas in a much easier fashion than others do.

If you own a Fire or Fire H D, or plan to purchase one, this book is a must read. I wish I had read it before I started using my Fire H D. It would have saved me a lot of time I expended learning the hard way.
I have owned a kindle since 2008 and I am on my sixth kindle/fire (some were gifts), but I just got the new fire HD8 (6th generation). There are always changes between older versions so I purchased this new guide and have learned way more than I expected. I am very happy for the knowledge. I highlighted several items that I want to be able to refer to again.
I've had each of the iterations of Fire Tablets right from the start and have used Mr. Tulley's guidebooks with each one. This updated book provides
even more tips and tricks. I read the prepublication of the book and have now purchased the finished product. I learn something every time I buy one of his books.
A reference like this is needed for this device, as there are NO directions with it and exploring was confusing. Now I've achieved some progress as a computer illiterate (See my review of Fire 10), and this insured that I had great success downloading and using HBO NOW on this device. My one peeve with Fire 10 is that I couldn't find the * symbol on the keyboard so I couldn't use the p.w. that I had with , until I came up with a new p.w. that doesn't use an *.
Basic stuff with very little for advanced users who are looking for specialized tricks and things.

This book is a great read for anyone thinking about buying or owning the FIRE Tablets. Get the latest information on what I feel are the the best tablets for your money and they are even better tablets if you are a PRIME member.
